Statistics on the 150 greatest movies list

I thought I would put together a few statistics for my “150 greatest movies of all time” list. I should preface this by saying that I had absolutely no correlation in mind when I began compiling these films.

Actors/directors: I have often said that a great supporting cast is frequently what came turn a great movie into a classic movie. When going through my list I found that actor Chris Cooper appears as a supporting actor in a stunning 4 of the top 15 movies!!

The grand daddy of them all was 1999!!! The last year of the 90’s produced a stunning 14 movies in the top 150. I was sure it would be the 80’s, but then again I have always said that moviemaking is one thing that has gotten better over the years.
