Movie mojo dead on accurate to carry a tourch for Ron Howard's Cinderellaman

Movie mojo blogger and I don’t always agree on films, but we certainly agree on Ron Howard’s epic Cinderella man. Cinderella man is the fitting, but long overdue tribute to a true American hero; James J. Braddock. Braddock gave hope to thousands during the great depression a time when the entire country felt like an underdog. Braddock’s rise from charity lines to completing the greatest upset in the history of boxing is as miraculous as it is uplifting, and best of all it’s true. So fantastic is the story of James J. that it inspired me to read some of the books about his life, and much to my surprise the film is more than accurate. Ron Howard does a sensational job of sprinkling in everything that was important to Braddock’s story, whether it be the films focus or just a sentence or two in a passing conversation. Howard manages to capture everything we know about the fighter and his time, in this masertpiece of film. It would be highway robbery if Cinderella Man doesn’t take home more than a few Oscars, but if the film has a fatal flaw it is its accuracy. Cinderella Man seems like the most astonishing of impossible Hollywood magic tales, and the first time I saw this picture I felt that Howard had gone too far with his portrayal of Braddock as a hero type. After having read the books about the fighter I found out that all of the things that seem far-fetched are actually quite true.
Four Stars!!
This is one of the three best films I have ever seen. Don not miss Cinderella Man. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed on Oscar night.
